A few Vermont towns have made some of the top “best” lists in 2007-2008. Here are just a few examples:
- U.S. News and World Report – Best places to retire: Burlington, Rutland, and South Burlington
- CNN Money.com – 100 best places to live and launch: Colchester
- Country Home – Best green place to live: Burlington (article in The Toronto Star about Burlington’s ranking)
Vermont as a whole was ranked 4th in the nation for energy efficiency by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) in 2008.
